West Lawn Winesburg Cemetary

There are two cemeteries in Winesburg, Ohio.  The oldest is the Old Winesburg Cemetery, also referred to as the "Swiss" Cemetery.  This is located in town behind the Zion Church.  The newer cemetery is the West Lawn Cemetery, located at the west end of Winesburg.  For the Old Winesburg  Cemetery, available on-line records list only two Fredericks: Fredericka Frederick (August's sister), and Elizebeth Ramsier Kuenzle Frederick (Frederick Frederick's second wife and August's step-mother).  In the West Lawn Cemetery, only Charles and Alice Frederick (August's son and daughter-in law) are listed.

There are many "farm cemeteries" dating from the 1800s in Holmes County.
